Are you an efficient and organised HR administrator with an eye for detail? Do you enjoy varied work under a fast-paced and growing team? We are seeking an energetic person who thrives on being busy with a can-do attitude to join our team!
We, Thomson Environmental Consultants, have an exciting opportunity for an HR and Training Administrator to join our talented team, based at our head office in Guildford, on the beautiful Surrey Research Park. Reporting to the Head of HR, this role is a fantastic way to gain further experience across all aspects of HR, Recruitment and Training/Talent and learn from a strong, high performing team in a growing company.
At Thomson, we appreciate that our people are our assets and we are experiencing a period of high growth. The role will provide support to the entire HR “lifecycle” with insight to recruitment and onboarding, talent development and training, support to ER matters and a focus on driving employee engagement. With the company’s recent decision to becoming employee-owned (EOT), there is a huge platform for interesting projects in the engagement space. This role will always be busy and provide for continuous learning.
You’ll need to have strong organisation and time management skills, the ability to plan and prioritise your workload effectively in order to meet tight deadlines and a “can do” attitude. You’ll also have the opportunity to communicate and work with all levels within the organisation. Experience of working in a fast-paced environment would be advantageous. A positive approach, willingness to go the “extra mile” and a sense humour will fit in well with the rest of the team.
We promote a friendly, open workplace and are guided by the company’s core values of Respect, Integrity, Support and Excellence. An interest in the natural world or sustainability aligns well with our ethos. We provide fantastic on-the-job training, opportunities for progression and a range of company benefits including 25 days annual leave, a stakeholder pension scheme, discounted gym membership, free parking and regular social events.
Successful candidates must be
