Thomson Ecology welcomes Dr Phil Aldous, new Director of Water

Thomson Ecology is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Phil Aldous as the new Director of Water.

Commenting on the new appointment, Nancy Thomson, Chairman and Chief Executive of Thomson Ecology, said: “Phil brings valuable know-how to the water division, and will be a valued addition to the Thomson leadership team. His knowledge of the water industry and the wider environmental water sector will be invaluable as we look to broaden our service offering, and provide more innovative solutions for our clients.”

Phil said, “I look forward to expanding Thomson Ecology’s presence in the water consultancy field, building on their excellent and world-leading marine capability and offering additional freshwater and groundwater services to existing and future clients.”

Phil has qualifications in environmental science, hydrogeology and environmental law, combined with over 30 years’ experience in the water sector covering a mix of utility, research and consultancy experience. His career spans an initial period at the Water Research Centre (WRc), then 20 years in a number of roles covering water resources, carbon reporting, waste management and regulatory compliance at Thames Water, followed by the last 8 years in environmental consultancy.
