Why do we collect your personal information?
We have a legitimate interest as we want to consider your application for a vacancy and so we need to process certain personal information about you.
What personal information might we process?
Here are some examples of the information we may ask for:
- Personal details such as name and address
- CV which includes your education and work history
- Compensation ie salary and benefits
- Professional qualifications, tickets and accreditations
- Employer references
- Visa / right to work permit information
- Interview notes
How do we handle your personal information?
Your information will be stored securely on Thomson’s internal systems. It will not be shared with any third parties. As part of the recruitment process, we might ask you to complete a personality profiling assessment which will be managed by a third party. The third party will store the assessment data on their own secure system.
If you are unsuccessful in securing a role with us, your data will be held in our recruitment system for a period of up to seven years so that we can access it should you apply for a role at Thomson again at a later date. Also, with your prior permission, we might contact you in the future should a more suitable opportunity arise which may be of interest to you.
If you are successful in securing a role with Thomson, your data will be transferred to our internal employee database and retained throughout your period of employment and for a further seven years.
You are entitled to see your personal information that Thomson holds. You can request changes to be made to any incorrect information and you can ask for information to be deleted.
