CIEEM have recently published the second edition of Guidelines on Ecological Impact Assessment: Terrestrial, Freshwater and Coastal (2016), which is now available on the CIEEM website.
The updated Guidelines cover the UK and Ireland and set out current good practice for Ecological Impact Assessment. Richard Arnold, the Technical Director at Thomson Ecology, was part of the Technical Review Group for the second edition of the Guidelines. His role included contributing text, as well as providing and responding to feedback.
Preparation of the updated Guidelines was supported by Thomson Ecology through the donation of many hours of Richard’s time. CIIEM’s Spring Conference which will be held in London on 23rd March, Advances in Ecological Impact Assessment, will support further knowledge sharing about this important part of the planning process. Our team will be at the event to contribute to the debate.
