Second phase of newt fencing works

Further to the earlier work done for our client, Dawnus Construction, on a wind farm development in Northamptonshire, we have returned to undertake the second phase.

We previously facilitated great crested newt trapping programme by installing temporary newt fencing and pitfall traps. We returned recently to install semi-permanent newt fencing to surround an area which is to be used as a receptor site for the newts caught on site. The receptor site has an existing pond, and areas of grassland and scrub, making it ideal habitat for the newts.
