Thomson Habitats works on ground investigations for new sports hub

We have been working with our client, a leading remediation contractor, to facilitate ground investigation works on a sports hub in Walton-on-Thames.

The scheme involves the construction of a new multi-purpose sports facility to cater for football and athletics.

Due to the sensitivity of the habitats, all works were carried out under an ecological watching brief. We used hand tools to clear vegetation down to ground level. The vegetation was cleared to allow for vehicle access routes, bore hole locations and catchment pits.

Despite the tight timescales, we were able to complete the project ahead of programme and, as we always intend, to the satisfaction of our client.
