Fish rescue

Our clients recently asked us to assist them in organizing a “fish rescue” at a pond in Heathrow which is to due to be in-filled whilst development works take place as part of the Crossrail scheme.

The process involved the use of an electrofishing kit which stuns the fish, but causes no harm.

The client had expected fewer than 10 fish to be rescued, but actually 600 were caught! After the rescue the fish were moved to suitable receptor ponds and the client resumed their planned works.
