New offices – Leeds and Kenilworth

Thomson environmental consultants is thrilled to announce the opening of a new office at Carrwood Park in Leeds, twelve months after our Birmingham team moved to their new office in Kenilworth.

Leeds – Carrwood Park, Selby Road, LS15 4LG

Thomson first opened an office in Leeds in 2007 and has since grown to a team of ~20 members of Thomson’s terrestrial ecology, arboricultural, geospatial and support team staff, with experience working on a wide range of projects from housing developments, rail and highways to nationally significant infrastructure projects (NSIPs). The team has a wealth of experience and technical specialists covering arboriculture, biodiversity net gain and protected species.

Thomson has a flexible work from home policy, but with a close-nit, friendly and supportive team dynamic, most choose to work from the office when not on site.

The move has been refreshing with the new premises focusing on community and wellbeing. It has excellent links to public transport and set in 110 acres of Yorkshire countryside with several walking routes, a lake and home to an array of wildlife. Thanks to everyone at Workwell for going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and settled.

If you have an upcoming project, we’d love to invite you to meet the team at our new office and discuss your project over a coffee. Get in touch with our Leeds office manager Lauren Hornsby-Riley

Birmingham – 605 Holly Court, Holly Farm Business Park, Kenilworth, CV8 1NP

The Birmingham team is a fairly recent addition to the Thomson suite of offices. It first opened in 2018 but the team quickly outgrew the office space. They have now relocated closer to Kenilworth, which is better positioned to service the Midlands region. The park is based in beautiful Warwickshire farmland and with a very friendly and supportive park management team they have continued to grow in size and capability.

With an ever-growing team of around a dozen ecology staff presently, the Birmingham team is one of the busiest regional teams and includes a satellite branch of our habitats landscaping team. The team are at the forefront of innovation within the company, leading on areas such as thermal imaging and use of conservation dog teams for purposes of GCN detection.

The Birmingham team is involved in large-scale infrastructure projects through to smaller private commissions and have gained a significant level of experience with a variety of ecology-based works, most notably mitigation work for great crested newts and reptiles.

To find out how we can help on your next project get in touch with James Turner, Birmingham office manager.
